I’ve known Michelle for a number of years and have worked with her directly for the past couple of years as a volunteer at River Bend Nature Center. She brings great insight to the organization and has been a consistent leader. Her greatest strength has been the ease with which she encourages the organization to move forward.
Michelle’s talents as a strategist and financial planner cannot be overstated, as is her dedication and reliability. She is a great listener, inclusive of every stakeholder and disciplined and innovative in her leadership. I recommend Michelle to any for profit or non-profit organization who needs resourceful, reliable and effective support. As an owner of my own consulting business and as past president of the largest non-profit organization in our community, I have worked with many fine individuals. Michelle is as good as they get.
We worked with Michelle for 2 years as their Risk Management Consultant while she was at Educators Credit Union. Michelle was always a delight to work with; smart, savvy and fair. She had a good eye for identifying opportunities to improve and did a good job making them stick. I would be very comfortable recommending Michelle and working with her in the future.
Michelle is a hard working, community minded individual who can interpret data while looking beyond the numbers to find solutions to organizational challenges. She is intelligent, personable, and reliable.
When Michelle first starting consulting with us, we just lost our Controller of 13 years. At the time, we were in a bind as our former Controller took a vast knowledge base with her, which no one else possessed. The combination of Michelle’s previous CFO and audit experience allowed her to quickly adapt and understand our needs. Within a short period of time, Michelle had us back on track and educated us with best practices in how the daily processes and tasks needed to be accomplished going forward.
Michelle and I frequently worked together to negotiate with vendors for improved service to the credit union and six figure cost savings. She is a great person to work with and a strategic business partner.
