Michelle Gabor, MBA and CPA, has held responsibility at both strategic and functional levels in a variety of areas in the financial institution, non-profit, and manufacturing industries for over twenty years. In addition to senior finance/accounting roles with 4 organizations she has also led human resources and online services/call center operations. Michelle has been responsible for driving change and improving processes with proven success in organizations ranging from small start-ups to a credit union with $1.5 billion in assets in the highly regulated financial institution industry.

Michelle was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She is a Certified Public Accountant who earned a MBA and an Accounting undergraduate degree.

Michelle’s experience includes 11 years with a large credit union, 6 years with non-profits as an employee and a founding board member, and 7 years in manufacturing.

Led improvement in internal and external service satisfaction in an organization that uses the net promoter customer satisfaction metric.

Served on new project and service teams to provide cost/benefit analysis, implementation best practices, and improved inter-departmental cooperation and effectiveness. Devised a project scoping process to ensure that people and monetary resources would be available and that project proposals supported the organization’s values and strategic goals.

Led the team who implemented mobile banking at Educators Credit Union and led the organization through an online banking system conversion. This included all aspects of product selection, contract negotiation, internal collaboration, project planning, and vendor management throughout and following the project.

Served as the senior finance/human resources/administrative leader for a non-profit and was also a founding board member for a new non-profit. As the Treasurer she led the organization’s start-up and established strategic planning, financial systems, staffing, and related concerns and has since served as the board President. She has also served as Treasurer for a young and growing B to B service company.

Experienced with vendor management and due diligence with history of negotiating more favorable terms, more vendor service and support, and/or better pricing.

Meet Michelle Gabor

Michelle lives in southeastern Wisconsin along the Milwaukee-Chicago corridor. She loves to camp, kayak, travel, read, garden, and is a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan. She has been an active community volunteer for decades.

She believes work can and should be meaningful and satisfying. We spend a lot of time and energy working so why not enjoy it? A great body of research proves that when your goals, processes, systems and people are in alignment you get more engagement and better results as an organization so it is a win-win for everyone involved.
